A Deaf business that employs Deaf staff to support Deaf adults with learning disabilities.  To support them to live as independently as possible and be included in the deaf  and wider community.

Location 1 is a semi-deatched home comprising of  five bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, shared communal kitchen,dining room and lounge. Shared common room/guest room. A large back garden with patio area. All necessay aids and adaptations to ensure the deaf service users can live as independent as possible. Support staff using BSL as a first language provide 24hr support on a daily basis with all independent living tasks to enable clients to access local shops, banks and supermarkets.

Location 2 comprises of two semi detached houses with a link access door ajoining both properties.  One has 4 bedrooms all with with on-suite bathroom with electric showers, shared communal kitchen /dining area and lounge.Shared common room/guest room . A large back garden Next door also has four bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms /showers.Shared open plan communal kitchen/ dining and living area.Large back garden shared between both properties. All necessay aids and adaptations to ensure the deaf tenants can live as independently as possible. Support staff using BSL provide 24hr support on a daily basis.

Our Supported Living Accommodation is provided through private landlords or their agents. All houses have the necessary aids and adaptations fitted for a shared house occupied by people who are sensory impaired.


All tenants have their own tenancy agreement in simple English and illustrations to ensure they understand what is expected of them as tenants, together with BSL support staff who explain the tenancy.Each tenant has a comprehensive support plan indicating how they require support and a breakdown of their personal weekly income and expenditure  so support workers and the tenant are able to plan budgets together.


Homelife provides 24hr emergency on-call support for all housing support workers and tenants on the scheme. In the event of medical or police intervention, Interpreters with upto level 6 BSL provide interpreter support to staff and tenants. Each scheme has a number of housing support workers providing personal and communication support with one housing support worker staying overnight from 10pm through to 7 am each day to provide wellbeing support. Each tenant has a housing support package along with one to one community support in line with their communication support and their established PA hrs indicated in their personal support plan.
